This year we celebrate Thanksgiving Day on November 28.
Thanksgiving Day is a very special day when our families and friends get together for a special meal. This famous meal often includes: pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, vegetables and most importantly turkey. This day is all about turkey! Turkey is the culinary star during this holiday. The turkey day for many people is a time to give thanks for what they have in their lives.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Enjoy this special time with your loved ones. Please share with us what you have planned for this day!
Twelve years ago today, November 12th we still remember the crash of the Flight 587 which occurred on 11/12/01 in Queens. The deadly crash killed 260 people and also five others on the ground . The flight was operated from JFK International Airport to Las Americas Airport in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This crash is one of the deadliest aviation accidents on American soil. Flights 587 no longer operate, and flights between Kennedy Airport and Las Americas Airport now are under Flight 619 and Flight 635.
Please find a minute to say a prayer for all who lost their lives and for their families. [*]
This year, the most amazing tree of all time will shine on December 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. The tree came from Shelton, CT a second time within six years. This beautiful spruce has approximately 75 years, and was beheaded on Thursday around 9:00 a.m. and finally transported to New York City. The beautiful, crystal star from Swarovsky will be the crown’s decoration and the tree will have around 45,000 LED lights, which will shine for the Big Apple until January 7th, 2014. So, if you want to do something fabulous with your loved ones, or when someone close to you visits NY and wants to explore, you should definitely come to Rockefeller Center and enjoy this amazing view. The magical Christmas Tree will certainly lift up your spirit.
Enjoy & do not forget your camera!!!
